Four Pitch Etudes for Solo Piano (2018) 32’00”. Compositional Language: Modal and Tonal. Note: Although this composition is for solo piano, the first three Etudes require a grand piano since the performer reaches in and plucks the strings with a guitar pick, strums the strings, and presses down on the string with a finger in these movements. Because of these extended techniques, an upright piano or an electric 88-note piano would be inappropriate for the first three Etudes.  The final Etude can be performed on an upright piano or an electric 88-note piano.
