On Saturday, September 29th Justus Parrotta will perform J. S. Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor BWV 565 and Prelude and Fugue in A Major BWV 536 on the Flentrop Organ at St. Columba’s Church in Washington DC from approximately 7:30 PM to 7:50 PM. Immediately following, Parrotta will perform his Four Pitch Etudes for Solo Piano in the Great Hall at St. Columba’s. Admission is free. On Friday, July 20, 2018 at 5PM, Central City Opera will present a reading of Act II of Justus Parrotta’s new opera Lottie Silks at the 19th annual Writing the Rockies Workshop at Western State Colorado University in Gunnison, Colorado. The performance will take place at the John and Georgie Kincaid Concert Hall, at Quigley Hall located at 600 South Adams Street, Gunnison, Colorado 81231.

On December 1st at 7pm at St. Patrick’s Church in Falls Church, Virginia, I will open a benefit concert for the relief of the typhoon victims in the Phillipines with music by Franck and Mendelssohn. On December 15, 2014 at 3PM, I will direct a Lessons and Carols service at Franconia United Methodist Church in Alexandria, Virginia. It features the music of Arcadelt, Bach, Mendelssohn, Ord, Tavener, Willcocks and others, along with my own arrangement of Of the Father’s love begotten for Choir and Handbells. A reception will follow.
On March 23, 2014 at 4PM, I will perform a solo recital at St. John’s Broadcreek in Fort Washington, Maryland. This is an unusual recital since I am playing two different instruments within the same venue, but not at the same time! One is a 44 stop two manual Allen Renaissance Quantum Digital organ and the other is an 1817 Jacob Hilbus pipe organ meticulously restored in 2012 by David Storey of Baltimore, Maryland.
